Hobbies

My hobbies tell a cohesive story about me both personally and professionally:

  • I love to solve puzzles
  • I enjoy growing communities and building systems
  • I endure through and learn from stress, pain, frustration and unforeseen challenges
  • I am open to new experiences and ideas; I love to try new things
  • I frame the ordinary in a way that showcases beauty and diverse perspectives
  • I'm empathetic, nurturing, curious, patient, introspective, reflective, disciplined and active
  • I have a deep understanding of human (and canine!) behavior, communication and learning
  • I benefit from gaining diverse perspectives by meeting new people

A non-exhaustive list of things I do for fun includes: long-distance running (including marathons!); crossword puzzles; learning languages; amateur photography; keeping plants alive; learning about dog cognition and coaching my own canine to make good choices; founding, volunteering with and exponentially growing local groups and communities; organizing local events; knitting; drawing and painting; ethical, maximalist fashion; hiking; yoga; non-fiction reading; cooking; biking; and visiting museums.
